♦️اشتباه رایج در استفاده از اصطلاح «قرنطینه شدن»:
رسانه‌ها نوشته‌اند پسر بزرگ ترامپ به کووید-۱۹ مبتلا شد و «قرنطینه شد».

استفادۀ اشتباه از اصطلاح قرنطینه شدن به‌جای ایزولاسیون در زبان فارسی بسیار رایج است و در زبان انگلیسی هم دیده می‌شود.
کاربرد درست این است:

اگر کسی مبتلا به یک بیماری واگیردار باشد، جداسازی او از دیگران «ایزولاسیون» نام دارد.

اگر کسی با شخص مبتلا تماس داشته و احتمال دارد ناقل باشد، جداسازی او از دیگران «قرنطینه شدن» نام دارد.

🚨 از اشتباه به کار بردن اصطلاح قرنطینه شدن که بگذریم نکتۀ مهمی دربارۀ قرنطینه شدن وجود دارد که درست رعایت نمی‌شود و این یکی از دلایل عدم موفقیت در مهار اپیدمی کووید-۱۹ است:
