🇷🇺 Въ трёхъ своихъ замѣткахъ авторъ канала @kriptoistoriya выстроилъ отвѣтъ на заданный вопросъ о фамиліи Императора и Самодержца Всероссійскаго такъ запутанно и витіевато, что кому-то могло показаться, что уважаемый коллега вообще отъ него ушёлъ. Но это совсѣмъ не такъ! Внимательные читатели, вѣроятно, нашли замаскированный интереснымъ повѣствованіемъ отвѣтъ на вопросъ: «Какая же фамилія была у императора Николая Втораго на самомъ дѣлѣ?»
Какъ вѣрно отмѣтилъ авторъ дружественнаго сему блогу канала, у царственныхъ и даже нѣкоторыхъ аристократическихъ династій нѣтъ фамиліи; она имъ попросту не нужна ввиду ихъ соціальнаго статуса. Къ примѣру, министръ Императорскаго Двора баронъ В.Б. Фредериксъ писалъ: «Дѣйствительно, въ законѣ нѣтъ указаній, что члены Императорскаго Дома носили бы фамилію князей Романовыхъ, но это и составляетъ отличительное преимущество Императорскаго Дома отъ остальныхъ дворянскихъ родовъ». Но всё же фамилія есть и у Августѣйшихъ Фамилій (простите дипломату этотъ каламбуръ!).

Telegram was co-founded by Pavel and Nikolai Durov, the brothers who had previously created VKontakte. VK is Russia’s equivalent of Facebook, a social network used for public and private messaging, audio and video sharing as well as online gaming. In January, SimpleWeb reported that VK was Russia’s fourth most-visited website, after Yandex, YouTube and Google’s Russian-language homepage. In 2016, Forbes’ Michael Solomon described Pavel Durov (pictured, below) as the “Mark Zuckerberg of Russia.” Given the pro-privacy stance of the platform, it’s taken as a given that it’ll be used for a number of reasons, not all of them good. And Telegram has been attached to a fair few scandals related to terrorism, sexual exploitation and crime. Back in 2015, Vox described Telegram as “ISIS’ app of choice,” saying that the platform’s real use is the ability to use channels to distribute material to large groups at once. Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations. Overall, extreme levels of fear in the market seems to have morphed into something more resembling concern. For example, the Cboe Volatility Index fell from its 2022 peak of 36, which it hit Monday, to around 30 on Friday, a sign of easing tensions. Meanwhile, while the price of WTI crude oil slipped from Sunday’s multiyear high $130 of barrel to $109 a pop. Markets have been expecting heavy restrictions on Russian oil, some of which the U.S. has already imposed, and that would reduce the global supply and bring about even more burdensome inflation. Some people used the platform to organize ahead of the storming of the U.S. Capitol in January 2021, and last month Senator Mark Warner sent a letter to Durov urging him to curb Russian information operations on Telegram. "The argument from Telegram is, 'You should trust us because we tell you that we're trustworthy,'" Maréchal said. "It's really in the eye of the beholder whether that's something you want to buy into."
