در سال ۱۹۷۱، John O'Keefe توانست سلول‌هایی را در هیپوکامپ کشف کند که نقشه‌ای از محیط اطراف را ترسیم می‌کردند و در حافظه موش ذخیره می‌کردند. او نام این سلول‌ها را Place cells گذاشت. در سال ۲۰۰۴، زوج نروژی Edvard & May-Brit Moser، در ناحیه entorhinal cortex موفق به کشف سلول‌هایی شدند که به صورت شش‌ضلعی هایی منظم شده بودند و بر اساس سرعت حرکت موجود زنده در محیط، مکان دقیق موجود را مشخص می‌کردند. نام این سلول‌ها را Grid cells گذاشتند.
در سال ۲۰۱۴، سه دانشمند فوق به خاطر کشف چگونگی مکان یابی جانوران و GPS درونی مغز، موفق به دریافت جایزه نوبل شدند.

As the war in Ukraine rages, the messaging app Telegram has emerged as the go-to place for unfiltered live war updates for both Ukrainian refugees and increasingly isolated Russians alike. However, the perpetrators of such frauds are now adopting new methods and technologies to defraud the investors.
