Послом России в США с 2017 года был Анатолий Антонов. Свою работу он завершил в октябре прошлого года. Дарчиев в прошлом посол России в Канаде, с 2021 года возглавляет департамент Северной Атлантики в МИД.
Дарчиев возглавил делегацию России на переговорах с США в Стамбуле 27 февраля, заявлял корреспондент ВГТРК Денис Давыдов.

Right now, as Wired reports, the app is a key way for Ukrainians to receive updates from the government during the invasion. He adds: "Telegram has become my primary news source."
