Экипаж первого Ту-144: второй пилот М.В. Козлов, ведущий инженер-испытатель В.Н. Бендеров и бортинженер Ю.Т. Селиверстов, возглавлял командир лётчик-испытатель Эдуард Елян. Первый полёт длился 37 минут.
