Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice. In this regard, Sebi collaborated with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to reduce the vulnerability of the securities market to manipulation through misuse of mass communication medium like bulk SMS. In view of this, the regulator has cautioned investors not to rely on such investment tips / advice received through social media platforms. It has also said investors should exercise utmost caution while taking investment decisions while dealing in the securities market.
