В 2018 году в ходе археологических работ Института археологии Российской Академии Наук на территории Антониево-Сийского монастыря было найдено монашеское захоронение, датирующееся XVI веком. В нижних горизонтах раскопа были обнаружены три мужских погребения в деревянных гробовинах.
Самым интересным является то, что одна из колод была дополнительно обернута берестой, что способствовало сохранению органических материалов внутри нее.
В результате этого были получены уникальные фрагменты текстиля, которые являются первой находкой облачения монахов на Русском Севере.
