💼 El programa de la etapa final de la Olimpíada, a la que asisten representantes de 36 países, incluye el Foro Internacional sobre Seguridad Financiera Sirius-2024, clases magistrales, mesas redondas y otros eventos educativos, profesionales, culturales y deportivos.

📚 La delegación argentina está integrada por estudiantes de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata y de la Universidad Nacional de Tucumán y del Instituto Universitario del Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires.

🤝 Los finalistas argentinos de la Olimpíada Internacional de Seguridad Financiera se definieron tras la visita a la Argentina de una delegación de la Universidad Rusa de la Amistad de los Pueblos, que contó con el apoyo de la Casa Rusa en Buenos Aires.

So, uh, whenever I hear about Telegram, it’s always in relation to something bad. What gives? Update March 8, 2022: EFF has clarified that Channels and Groups are not fully encrypted, end-to-end, updated our post to link to Telegram’s FAQ for Cloud and Secret chats, updated to clarify that auto-delete is available for group and channel admins, and added some additional links. The War on Fakes channel has repeatedly attempted to push conspiracies that footage from Ukraine is somehow being falsified. One post on the channel from February 24 claimed without evidence that a widely viewed photo of a Ukrainian woman injured in an airstrike in the city of Chuhuiv was doctored and that the woman was seen in a different photo days later without injuries. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice. In addition, Telegram's architecture limits the ability to slow the spread of false information: the lack of a central public feed, and the fact that comments are easily disabled in channels, reduce the space for public pushback. At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised.
