Алвар Аалто также спроектировал здания за рубежом, включая кампус MIT в США, Павильон в Базош-Сюр-Гионе, Церковь Риола в Италии и Дом Северных стран в Рейкьявике. В 1933-1935 годах по его проекту была построена библиотека в Выборге, которая носит его имя.
