Сегодня, 25 января, в день памяти мученицы Татианы, отмечается день тезоименитства Великой княжны Татьяны Николаевны Романовой – второй дочери императора Николая II и императрицы Александры Федоровны, родившейся в 1897 году в Петергофе.
Как свидетельствовали хорошо знавшие ее люди, основой ее жизни были дом, хозяйство, рукоделие.
Во время Первой мировой войны Татьяну сделали почетной председательницей Комитета по оказанию временной помощи пострадавшим от военных бедствий. Как-то на заседании один из членов комитета обратился к ней: «С позволения Вашего Высочества…» Татьяна удивленно посмотрела на него. А когда он снова сел рядом с ней, слегка толкнула его локтем и прошептала: «Вы что, с ума сошли — так со мной разговаривать?» Татьяна ненавидела подобные церемонии и формальности.
Куда больше ей нравилось быть простой сестрой милосердия и день за днем трудиться в лазарете.
