Мэр Сергей Собянин сообщил, что с начала 2024 года модернизировано свыше 15 километров трамвайных путей для улучшения движения и снижения шума. В сентябре открылась новая линия по улице Сергия Радонежского, что дало возможность 700 тысячам жителей пользоваться комфортными маршрутами. В 2024 году начнется восстановление путей на Трифоновской улице, а в 2025 году планируется запуск трамваев по улице Академика Сахарова. Также почти полностью обновлен трамвайный парк, и в ближайшие годы будет закуплено еще 100 новых трамваев последнего поколения, произведенных в России. Новые тарифы на проезд в общественном транспорте уже вступили в силу.
