The account, "War on Fakes," was created on February 24, the same day Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a "special military operation" and troops began invading Ukraine. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores. "It's really in the eye of the beholder whether that's something you want to buy into." Russian President Vladimir Putin launched Russia's invasion of Ukraine in the early-morning hours of February 24, targeting several key cities with military strikes.
