“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”
2 Corinthians 9:7 KJV

There are those that will falsely use the above verse to say that tithing is no longer applicable because Paul said “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart”. This doesn’t change what the bare minimum is - 10%. Tithes are different than offerings. You owe the Lord 10% before any offerings. The offerings are different for every individual because that’s between you and the Lord. The tithe is a set amount and owed!

Now we shouldn’t give because it’s required, but because we want to give to the Lord. That doesn’t mean it isn’t required, it just means that shouldn’t be the reason we give. Non tithers take that phrase “of necessity” to mean it’s not necessary…but that implies that it is necessary! If tithing was only OT, why would a NT believer feel that giving was “of necessity”? Because IT IS NECESSARY…but you be a cheerful giver.

Taking the above passage to invalidate tithing is disregarding OT verses about willful giving. OT believers were to give willingly as well. Now that tithe is required and the offerings are between you and the Lord

Exodus 35:21-22
“And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the LORD's offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments. And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing hearted, and brought bracelets, and earrings, and rings, and tablets, all jewels of gold: and every man that offered an offering of gold unto the LORD.”

1 Corinthians 16:2 KJV
“Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.”

For tech stocks, “the main thing is yields,” Essaye said. He said that since his platform does not have the capacity to check all channels, it may restrict some in Russia and Ukraine "for the duration of the conflict," but then reversed course hours later after many users complained that Telegram was an important source of information. This ability to mix the public and the private, as well as the ability to use bots to engage with users has proved to be problematic. In early 2021, a database selling phone numbers pulled from Facebook was selling numbers for $20 per lookup. Similarly, security researchers found a network of deepfake bots on the platform that were generating images of people submitted by users to create non-consensual imagery, some of which involved children. Following this, Sebi, in an order passed in January 2022, established that the administrators of a Telegram channel having a large subscriber base enticed the subscribers to act upon recommendations that were circulated by those administrators on the channel, leading to significant price and volume impact in various scrips. On February 27th, Durov posted that Channels were becoming a source of unverified information and that the company lacks the ability to check on their veracity. He urged users to be mistrustful of the things shared on Channels, and initially threatened to block the feature in the countries involved for the length of the war, saying that he didn’t want Telegram to be used to aggravate conflict or incite ethnic hatred. He did, however, walk back this plan when it became clear that they had also become a vital communications tool for Ukrainian officials and citizens to help coordinate their resistance and evacuations.
