The Camauro and the Winter Mozzetta | The Inspiration Behind Santa’s Suit

The Camauro and the Winter Mozzetta are papal vestments that date back to the dark ages, originating somewhere between the 12th and 14th centuries. The Papal Camauro is a cap made from either red wool or more commonly, red velvet, with white ermine trim. The Winter Mozzetta is a cape worn by the Pope made of red velvet and trimmed with white ermine fur. These two garments were often paired together by Popes and bear an unmistakable striking resemblance to modern depictions of “Santa’s Suit. Furthermore, the man who is actually credited with creating the modern image of Santa Claus in his red suit is a man by the name of Thomas Nast, a Cartoonist for Harper’s Weekly. Nast just so happened to come from an Irish Roman Catholic family, was baptized in the Catholic Church of Sankt Maria, and was educated in Catholic schools.

During this “Christmas” Season just remember that Santa Claus is dressed like the Pope!

Even if the Bible said nothing about Christians having Baal trees in their home (IT DOES), Christians would have no business bringing that garbage in their home based on the history of it alone.

If you have a Christmas tree and condemn Halloween, that’s textbook hypocrisy.
I'll be home for Christmas
You can plan on me
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents on the tree
How much more paganism and mysticism can they cram into a song?

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like Eskimos
Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe
Help to make the season bright
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow
Will find it hard to sleep tonight
They know that Santa's on his way
He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh
And every mother's child is gonna spy
To see if reindeers really know how to fly
Finally a Christmas Tree we can get behind

A flashback to a hundred years ago when the department store put out more wholesome music than most professing Bible believing Christians do today. “Old Paths”
There is never a bad day to celebrate and appreciate the birth of our Saviour! Let’s not relegate it to one day.
We catch a lot of flack here for our biblical stand on the separation of the races - everything from being called self hating whites to hating anyone who isn’t white - both couldn’t be further from the truth. We take the position that every rational person took no more than a century ago, even non believers knew enough.

We are commanded to reach the entire world with the gospel. Shame on anyone who won’t give the gospel to someone based on their skin or culture! You can support biblical separation and still care for the lost and dying world that doesn’t look like you. Was Cassius Clay a white supremacist for his mainline view on the races?
