В этом году Египет во всех новостях о крупнейших соревнованиях по программированию: с 1 по 8 сентября Александрия принимает у себя почти 400 талантливых юных программистов из более чем 85 стран, участвующих в международной олимпиаде по информатике. Вчера состоялось официальное открытие и пробный тур, а сегодня уже первый контест.
Олимпиада проходит в два соревновательных дня: школьникам необходимо решить три задачи за пять часов. За каждую задачу можно получить до 100 баллов. Итоги олимпиады подводятся по сумме баллов за оба контеста. Дни контестов: 3 и 5 сентября

The original Telegram channel has expanded into a web of accounts for different locations, including specific pages made for individual Russian cities. Members of the public who suspect that they have been approached by unauthorised firms or individuals offering schemes that promise unrealistic returns Perpetrators of these scams will create a public group on Telegram to promote these investment packages that are usually accompanied by fake testimonies and sometimes advertised as being Shariah-compliant. Interested investors will be asked to directly message the representatives to begin investing in the various investment packages offered. Russians and Ukrainians are both prolific users of Telegram. They rely on the app for channels that act as newsfeeds, group chats (both public and private), and one-to-one communication. Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Telegram has remained an important lifeline for both Russians and Ukrainians, as a way of staying aware of the latest news and keeping in touch with loved ones. The next bit isn’t clear, but Durov reportedly claimed that his resignation, dated March 21st, was an April Fools’ prank. TechCrunch implies that it was a matter of principle, but it’s hard to be clear on the wheres, whos and whys. Similarly, on April 17th, the Moscow Times quoted Durov as saying that he quit the company after being pressured to reveal account details about Ukrainians protesting the then-president Viktor Yanukovych.
