Вот представьте себе: семейная фирма “Медовые пряники” 🥨🍯, главная угроза мировой стабильности, потому что… у них слишком вкусные пряники! Или «Фабрика офисных стульев» (аналог реальной деревообрабатывающей компании из списка) — стратегическая опасность из-за своих слишком удобных кресел: враг может сесть и расслабиться! 🪑
По сути, это всё теперь напоминает старый анекдот: — Ты зачем санкции ввёл против ремонтной мастерской? — Ну, а вдруг они гаечным ключом сделают что-то опасное!
Это похоже на игру в морской бой, где противник слепо тыкает по карте, лишь бы сказать: «Попал!».
Но что-то подсказывает, что такие попадания всё больше в пустоту. Ведь когда реальные риски путаются с «пряничными угрозами», становится понятно: санкции — это уже не «инструмент западной безопасности», а политика в стиле “кто не с нами, тот точно подозрителен”.
P.S. Ждём, когда в список попадёт магазин воздушных шаров в Торговом центре «Европейский» — они ведь взрываются… 🤡🤣

At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised. "We're seeing really dramatic moves, and it's all really tied to Ukraine right now, and in a secondary way, in terms of interest rates," Octavio Marenzi, CEO of Opimas, told Yahoo Finance Live on Thursday. "This war in Ukraine is going to give the Fed the ammunition, the cover that it needs, to not raise interest rates too quickly. And I think Jay Powell is a very tepid sort of inflation fighter and he's not going to do as much as he needs to do to get that under control. And this seems like an excuse to kick the can further down the road still and not do too much too soon." In view of this, the regulator has cautioned investors not to rely on such investment tips / advice received through social media platforms. It has also said investors should exercise utmost caution while taking investment decisions while dealing in the securities market. Right now the digital security needs of Russians and Ukrainians are very different, and they lead to very different caveats about how to mitigate the risks associated with using Telegram. For Ukrainians in Ukraine, whose physical safety is at risk because they are in a war zone, digital security is probably not their highest priority. They may value access to news and communication with their loved ones over making sure that all of their communications are encrypted in such a manner that they are indecipherable to Telegram, its employees, or governments with court orders. Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. But this has also meant that the company has also engaged with lawmakers more generally, although it maintains that it doesn’t do so willingly. For instance, in September 2021, Telegram reportedly blocked a chat bot in support of (Putin critic) Alexei Navalny during Russia’s most recent parliamentary elections. Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores.
