Representatives attended a public hearing on Maine’s LD227, a deceptively presented bill known as, “An Act Regarding Health Care in the State.” The public was unable to read the contents of the bill until an amendment was published at the last minute.

If passed, this bill would make sex change surgeries for children a taxpayer funded right in Maine and would allow any adult individual to bring a child to Maine to receive sex change surgeries or drugs.

Representatives provided testimony in opposition to the bill, confronted the bills sponsor, and networked with representatives and local leaders.
