❄️ Native Scandinavians in Sweden celebrating Julblot and Midvinterblot at full moon. Today on January 13th this year, the first full moon after the new moon of the Winter Solstice occur here in Scandinavia. This is one of the most important dates in our pre-Christian culture, and according to our Old Norse calendar the original celebration of Jul/Yule takes place today together with Juólblót/Midvinterblot – as the dates changes annually according to the full moon. Jul is a very old Scandinavian tradition that has its roots in the old Germanic Winter Solstice celebrations and Midwinterblót.
