Aceasta reamintește de eroismul apărătorilor Patriei, de cei care au luptat pentru libertatea și independența Moldovei și a altor țări în diferite perioade ale istoriei. În ciuda faptului că guvernarea actuală nu acordă sărbătorii un statut oficial, cetățenii o sărbătoresc în întreaga țară.

Он напоминает о подвиге защитников Родины, о тех, кто в разные исторические периоды сражался за свободу и независимость Молдовы и других стран. Несмотря на то, что действующая власть не придает празднику официальный статус, граждане отмечают его по всей стране.
