In Phnom Penh, H.E. Mr Igor Krasnov Holds Talks with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior of Cambodia

🗣️ Welcoming H.E. Mr Sar Sokha, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior of the Kingdom, Russian Prosecutor General noted the positive dynamics in the development of bilateral cooperation. “Russian President Vladimir Putin characterized the relations between our countries as friendly and reliable,” the Head of the Russian supervisory authority stressed. "This meeting also demonstrates the focus on comprehensive strengthening of the dialogue between Russia and Cambodia, which is actively developing in a wide range of areas, including law enforcement.”

Having briefed Deputy Prime Minister on the main powers of the Russian Prosecutor's Office, H.E. Mr Igor Krasnov drew particular attention to the work being done to strengthen international legal cooperation, including in the area of countering cross-border crimes, expressing his conviction that collaboration in this field is an important part of the interstate relations.

📌 H.E. Mr Igor Krasnov recalled the draft Comprehensive Convention against Cybercrime, approved by the UN General Assembly last December, initiated and authored by the Russian Prosecutor General's Office. The signing ceremony will take place in the capital of Vietnam this autumn.

Having emphasized the significant attention paid by the Russian Prosecutor General's Office to improving the professional competencies of its employees on the basis of the departmental University, H.E. Mr Igor Krasnov highlighted the good prospects for interaction along the scientific and educational lines.
