Last Update:
One difference between Poland and western Europe is that accusations of racism had little power. The superintentent of Małopolska @barbaraanowacka sent a letter to all principals in region to cancel classes and send information.
In the west Barbara would have been hounded as a racist and pressured to be fired. This is slowly becoming the zeitgeist in an increasingly multicultural Poland, and power of racism accusations will only become much stronger due to the current government push for integration foreigners.
I worry we will become like the west when this integration program begins and more and more exotic foreigners become Polish citizens. Then accusations of racism will have more power.
Despite the outrage, many schools tried to support Euroweek, but ultimately parents were not willing risk their children getting molested for the goal of tolerance and multiculturalism.
