On Papal Heresy
"we cannot (even on the supposition that the Pope is a heretic) separate from him until those properly tasked (the Bishops of the world)..."

Jimmy Akin is a Problem
The St. Nicholas Tavelic Network has been hard at work over the last year or so catechizing dozens of Morisco Catholics (Muslim converts) in order to prepare them for the sacraments.
Next month, it is finally time for those in North Africa to have their final preparations and be baptized.
A limited team of volunteers will be traveling to an undisclosed location in North Africa (I might even go since the airfare is not too bad...not sure yet) in order to help prepare them (including a certain missionary priest who partners will Tavnet).
Yet, there are many costs associated with this, including travel for the essential team, accommodation, etc., etc.
So, they have decided to start a gofundme in order to help out...link below:

One of the most disastrous things to happen in the 20th century was the movement of academics to rip the Catholic Universities out from under the oversight of the Church...
There is plenty of lore behind this and plenty of canonical penalties on the books (that Bishops COULD enforce) against this near universal rebellion, even reiterated by Pope Francis recently.
Video will be coming out next week on this (inspired by my recent trip to Notre Dame).

Some Notes on Our Redemption for Beginners
In the last week or so I wrote some brief notes on the redemptive work of Christ, its "presuppositions," effects, and related topics, such as the manner in which our spiritual life is effected by these considerations and the way in which the Church's process…

Today I will be gifting 3 copies of one of my favorite books.
After the consumerist weekend that stretches from Black Friday to Cyber Monday, it has become standard in America to celebrate “Giving Tuesday.” This is a rare W when it comes to 2010’s “holidays.”
As many of you know, I have been running a bit of a fundraiser to start 2025 in a good position so that I can push things even further. Today will be an important day in achieving our goal of $15,000 (we currently sit at $1,124).
So, I will be giving away 3 COPIES of one of my favorite books, a guide to mental prayer written by a Jesuit priest in the 19th century to anyone donating today.* I loved this book so much that I republished it last year. With your help, I hope to republish (and publish!) many books in the future.
Coincidentally, today is the feast day of St. Francis Xavier, a companion of St. Ignatius. I will leave you off with this excellent excerpt from one of his letters to St. Ignatius,
“I noticed among them [the Indians] persons of great intelligence. If only someone could educate them in the Christian way of life, I have no doubt that they would make excellent Christians.
Many, many people hereabouts [in India] are not becoming Christians for one reason only: there is nobody to make them Christians. Again and again I have thought of going round the universities of Europe, especially Paris, and everywhere crying out like a madman, riveting the attention of those with more learning than charity: “What a tragedy: how many souls are being shut out of heaven and falling into hell, thanks to you!”
I wish they would work as hard at this as they do at their books, and so settle their account with God for their learning and the talents entrusted to them.
This thought would certainly stir most of them to meditate on spiritual realities, to listen actively to what God is saying to them. They would forget their own desires, their human affairs, and give themselves over entirely to God’s will and his choice. They would cry out with all their heart: Lord, I am here! What do you want me to do? Send me anywhere you like – even to India.”
