Urbanism is so unbelievably disgusting. Why? Why would any reasonable person think to put street lights there?
My job isn't to shift the Overton window that's for wordcels and philosophy nerds, my job is to fortify the Overton window with fart noises as well as stupid in-jokes about beans chili and PT Cruisers

Shifting the overton window isn't for philosophy nerds, it's for a very tragic and special group of people. Imagine thinking, "yes, the purpose of my life is to convince the mass of drooling retards to agree with me." It's a calamity; such people deserve our prayers and sympathies.

The reality is that this map is incomplete. All American land is federal land. If you own your house only because the government lets you and it could take it away at any moment, that's really the government's house. All land is federal land.

I should also be clear and note that while your house is the government's house more than it's your house, the highest ownership is, of course, held by God. Your house is really God's house.

Damn it... Suddenly realizing that I really should get a few chores done.

Urbanism is war against nature. Man thinks he conquered nature but despite repeated reminders from nature that he hasn't, he continues with the delusion.

Street lights are war against natural darkness and celestial lighting. The asphalt is war against soil, plant, and animal life. The use of motor vehicles, public transport, and the buildings themselves are a way for man to say that the ground disgusts him and is unfit for him to touch. The high-rise building is the epitome of this.

But as we see time and time again, after man has exhausted his resources in this arrogant war, nature prevails. Entire neighborhoods swallowed back up into forests and fields, as it should be
Two weeks ago, I was in northern WI and a 10-ish mile section of road was freshly torn up. You could take it as a dirt road covered in a bit of gravel and road pieces. On it again today, and it's completely paved; all that looks left to do is repaint the road markings.

Yet, in the suburbs, the same small chunk of road will be worked on for years at a time. Why?

In the UP, we get an extreme heat warning when it's much above 80°F outside. As it should be. These conditions are not suitable for human life.
It's now 85°F in my house. I'm retreating into the cellar.
If you're panicking, stop.
