Enchantress. A Beguiling Oakmoss and violet blend.
Light. Airy. Finesse.

One of my original and eldest blends, Enchantress is a beautiful violet and Oakmoss blend that is a bit obscure in how it came to be. It seems this blend was created very very late at night if not very early in the wee hours of the morning. Since I don't actually remember making this, it's purpose is a bit hidden and obscure.

Violet is favored and loved by women all over the world, since any of us can remember, women have loved violets. The scent and imagery of violets bring memories of warmth peace and lightness of being all at once. Much like the color purple itself, Violets are soothing and bring tranquility. In ancient Greece violets were often thought to be a symbol of fertility and love.

Keywords: Sophisticated | Love | Tranquility

The Ingredients: Violet | Rose | Oakmoss | Musk |

Violet

Violets have been used in cosmetic and healing preparations for a very long time. They were believed to have the ability to moderate anger, strengthen and comfort the heart, and promote refreshing sleep. The Roman writer Pliny recommended that revellers wore chaplets of violet flowers to prevent hangovers.

The ancient Greeks wore them to induce sleep and to prevent headaches.

According to the ninth century Codex-Sangellensis, to cure a headache, rub the forehead with violets. The sixteenth century herbalist Ascham said that β€˜for them that may not sleep for a sickness seethe violets in water and at even let him soke well his temples, and he shall sleepe well by the grace of God”.

Rose

Rose is one of the highest frequency of the essential oils. Roses have a vibrational frequency of 320 MHz, which is the highest of any plant or gemstone on Earth. This is much higher than the average human body's frequency of 62–72 MHz.

Rose is strongly associated with beauty, passion and love. It is quite literally the only material thing that is actually quite close to love itself, due its frequency. It also can often overpower and overwhelm blends or highly sensitive people.

Oakmoss

Oakmoss is a lichen which grows on Oak trees therefore it is strongly connected to the earth. Since it is a lichen, it is actually not a moss. It is composed of algae and other creatures.

It is highly valued in perfumery and was used in the ancient world for varying purposes.

Oakmoss is very grounding and soothing, and has a deep, musky, earthen scent. Bringing value to floral blends which can often be overpowering. Oakmoss brings stability and strength to blends.

"Hope begins in the dark,
the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing,
the dawn will come.
You wait and watch and work:
you don’t give up.

It’s like driving at night.
You can only see as far as your headlights,
but you can make the whole trip that way.
You don’t have to see where you’re going,
you don’t have to see your destination,
or everything you will pass along the way.
You just have to keep going."

Musk

My own personal musk blend. Very similar to my Saffron Musk - but with a deeper twist of resinous Amber and a sharpness that compliments the sweeter Saffron scent. This blend is smooth like velvet.

Keywords: Intense | Vivid | Spirited | Velvet | Mystical

The Ingredients: Saffron | Jasmine | Amber | Musk |

This blend seems to have the side effect of boosting ones confidence and intuition.

I hope you're tough
Thick skinned and strong willed
Grow a backbone, stay firm in your beliefs
And stick to your guns

I hope you're tender
Willing to bend when the cold wind blows
Soft and gentle, able to see their side
Full of awe and wonder for the world around you

I hope you're full of grit
Determined to do your best
Never letting "quit" and "can't" enter your vocabulary

I hope you understand that the truth doesn't always match "your truth"
And that everyone's perspective is different from where they stand

I hope you guard your heart, and trust wisely
Love fully, and with integrity
I hope you make mistakes, and learn from them

Most of all, I hope you find peace and happiness

This is what a concentrated blend looks like before it's diluted into a skin safe formula.

Essential oils, resins, absolutes, are all highly concentrated substances and must be used with caution topically.

Many people think that because essential oils are natural, they are safe. These are highly concentrated CHEMICAL constituents. They are still chemicals even if they are 100 percent pure and natural. They are highly medicinal compounds and should be used with respect and caution by an educated practitioner.
