In 1935 the German government broadened the legal scope of the Criminal Code. Criminals could be sent to penal labour for up to 10 years depending on court decision. With the broadened paragraph 175 it included rapists, pedophiles and other sexual crimes against nature. Therefore the pink triangle markings on penal labourers was also broader than simply homosexuality.
