Situation reported in El Rodeo 1: political prisoners scream for help

Human rights defenders reported that for the second consecutive day, this Saturday, an irregular situation has been registered with political prisoners in the El Rodeo 1 prison.

Since Friday, when family visits to this prison were suspended, screams from political prisoners can be heard inside the detention center.

Margareth Baduel, sister of political prisoner Josnars Adolfo Baduel, said: "All the relatives demand to know about our relatives, since we hear cries asking for help and shouting the word 'murderer'."

Argentine Security Minister Patricia Bullrich said on Sunday that, according to information received by Venezuelan intelligence agencies, the Argentine gendarme detained in Táchira, Nahuel Agustín Gallo, had been transferred from the border state to El Helicoide, in Caracas.

According to the Argentine newspaper El Clarín, the 27-year-old official has been in detention for the first week and has been transferred to a jail for political prisoners.

Gallo was on regular leave to visit his partner, Silvia Gómez, and his two-year-old son, who were waiting for him in Caracas.
Vente Venezuela denounces forced disappearance of opposition leader Luis Palocz in Chacao

According to the Vente Venezuela human rights commission, Luis Palocz was detained by hooded individuals on Galarraga Avenue and El Samán in the Chacao municipality on Saturday, December 14 at 1:20 p.m.

Luis Palocz is the second member of the Command with Venezuela to be the victim of forced disappearance in the same week. The first is Jesús Armas, who was detained under similar conditions on Tuesday, December 10, while leaving a café in Las Mercedes in the Baruta municipality.
María Corina Machado: «The end of the regime is much closer than many imagine»

Opposition leader María Corina Machado reiterated her call on Venezuelans to be "alert" to "the signs" and prepared to "do what needs to be done at the right time" to achieve the change that the majority of the country voted for in the presidential elections of July 28.

"The end of this regime in Venezuela is much closer than many imagine. We are one step away from that long-awaited change, a step that we still have to take. There is very little left to do now," he said in an audio message broadcast on his social networks.
Saab announces 179 "alternative measures" for those arrested in post-election protests

The Public Prosecutor's Office announced in a statement on Monday that between December 10 and 14, the Judiciary approved 179 revisions of measures for defendants related to the "acts of violence" that broke out after the presidential elections on July 28.

In this regard, the agency explained that these releases are added to the 354 measures previously requested and agreed upon, for a total of 533 carried out.
Government intervenes in the Coro jail penitentiary

Although there has not yet been an official statement from the authorities, local media reported that at least 20 buses arrived at the prison community, so everything indicates that there will be transfers of prisoners.

Sources told El Pitazo that this is Operation Cacique Guaicaipuro, an intervention carried out by the Government in different penitentiary centers in the country, to reestablish order and control within these institutions.
