29 декабря 1941 г. глухой ночью подводная лодка «Д-5» подошла к берегам Коктебеля.
В семибалльный шторм, пургу были спущены восемь надувных шлюпок с десантниками.
Шел жестокий бой. Один за другим падали советские воины, обагряя кровью морской песок. Оказавшись в кольце врагов, последней гранатой подрывали и себя и фашистов.
И все же погибли в ту страшную ночь не все. Нескольких раненых укрыли жители Коктебеля.
