Напряженность в Красном море увеличивает контейнерные перевозки в порту Момбаса
Кенийский порт впервые за более чем десятилетие по итогам 2024 года принял более 2 млн TEU (+23,5%). Платформа обработала 41,1 миллиона тонн грузов.
Росту способствовали транзитные перевозки (+17,4%, примерно 13,4 млн тонн)
Основной клиент порта - Уганда, на нее приходится 65,7% грузопотоков. Другими важными пунктами транзита являются Южный Судан (12,7%), Демократическая Республика Конго (11,8%), Руанда (5,1%) и Танзания (3,4%).
В течение последних нескольких лет в порту реализуется инвестиционная программа, которая позволила увеличить пропускную способность платформы, чтобы уменьшить заторы и вернуть часть потерянного трафика танзанийскому порту Дар-эс-Салам, с которым Момбаса находится почти в одном и том же районе.
На 2025 год администрация порта Кении планировала продолжить эту программу, ожидается строительство новых причалов и внедрение цифровых решений.
