В США такой мармелад не запрещен, а Калоб, как объяснили родственники, принимал его по медицинским показаниям- у молодого человека сильные приступы эпилепсии. Несмотря на это, суд принял решение об аресте американца и его девушки. Близкие Байерса рассказали, что за 8 дней в СИЗО у него не было медицинской помощи и случился очередной приступ.
В результате американец оказался на свободе. О судьбе его девушки не сообщается.
