Все (расстрел, повешение, инъекция и тд) направлены исключительно на лишение жизни и лишь одна на мучения при этом - побивание камнями. Посмотрел в Википедии, сейчас их 7. Но удивило, что ни тогда, ни сейчас в Интернете среди всех существовавших нет упоминания о таком виде:
