Девушка и её мама, оставшись в блокадном городе, очень любили своего кота. И принципиально его не ели. Оберегали как могли. Но однажды дочь пришла домой, и увидела, что мать сварила и ест его. Более того, предложила и дочери отведать кошачьего мяса. Она была не в себе. Девушка посчитала что женщина потеряла то, что делает её человеком. Дочь пошла в публичную библиотеку, вычитала рецепт яда, а затем отравила себя.
