С учетом того, что все боеспособные силы режима сейчас стянуты в провинцию Хама (и медленно отступают перед повстанцами, подвергаясь ударам FPV-дронов, сегодня потеряно 6 сёл), не исключён вариант повторения в Дейр-эз-Зоре такой же стремительной катастрофы для режима, какая случилась в Алеппо, с учетом того, что две другие провинции за Евфратом - Ракка и Хасака - уже давно в руках курдов.
