Гуляя по олимпийскому парку мы услышали, как где-то вдалеке кто-то за кого-то болеет, а я заприметил световые мачты, думая, что это - футбольный матч

А оказалось, бейсбол, сначала удивился, но когда подошли ближе, то пазл быстро сложился: мексиканские иммигранты продвигают игру, которая так популярна за океаном. Как всегда, вживую наблюдать интереснее, чем по ТВ, хотя понятно примерно ничего

С 2008 по 2010 год на этом стадионе проводился бейсбольный «Финал четырёх», такой тоже есть, ага, и играют там команды из Испании, Италии, Сан-Марино и пр.

Не знаю, засчитывать ли это в свою коллекцию, но, фактически, я «закрыл» все атрибуты, которые обычно прохожу: посмотрел игру, в которой ничего не понимаю, походил по арене и трибунам, попил кофе и поснимал эмоции игроков и болельщиков

The channel appears to be part of the broader information war that has developed following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The Kremlin has paid Russian TikTok influencers to push propaganda, according to a Vice News investigation, while ProPublica found that fake Russian fact check videos had been viewed over a million times on Telegram. He said that since his platform does not have the capacity to check all channels, it may restrict some in Russia and Ukraine "for the duration of the conflict," but then reversed course hours later after many users complained that Telegram was an important source of information. One thing that Telegram now offers to all users is the ability to “disappear” messages or set remote deletion deadlines. That enables users to have much more control over how long people can access what you’re sending them. Given that Russian law enforcement officials are reportedly (via Insider) stopping people in the street and demanding to read their text messages, this could be vital to protect individuals from reprisals. Perpetrators of these scams will create a public group on Telegram to promote these investment packages that are usually accompanied by fake testimonies and sometimes advertised as being Shariah-compliant. Interested investors will be asked to directly message the representatives to begin investing in the various investment packages offered. Right now the digital security needs of Russians and Ukrainians are very different, and they lead to very different caveats about how to mitigate the risks associated with using Telegram. For Ukrainians in Ukraine, whose physical safety is at risk because they are in a war zone, digital security is probably not their highest priority. They may value access to news and communication with their loved ones over making sure that all of their communications are encrypted in such a manner that they are indecipherable to Telegram, its employees, or governments with court orders.
