Вообще, насколько понимаю, для казахской культуры важно наследие Арыстан-баба, жившего в 12-м веке и знавшего основы 33-х религий (а значит, скорее всего и распространëнного по Шëлковому пути буддизма), но в итоге выбравшего ислам. Позже уже батры-мусульмане одолели буддистов-джунгар и эта победа также архиважна для казахского национального самосознания. Очень хорошо, в этой связи, что есть в Казахстане люди, воспринимающие буддизм как нечто полезное и исторически значимое.
