Пресс-секретарь премьер-министра Армении Назели Багдасарян сообщила, что в ходе встречи Никола Пашиняна с президентом России Владимиром Путиным была достигнута договоренность, что с 1 января 2025 года пограничные войска СНБ Армении будут участвовать в охране государственных границ с Ираном и Турцией.
При этом уточняется, что службу на КПП на границе с Ираном будут нести только армянские пограничники.
