چهارمین نشست تخصصی "سیاست خارجی در عمل"

از سوی انجمن علمی دانشجویی روابط بین‌الملل دانشگاه خوارزمی با همکاری انجمن علمی دانشجویی مطالعات منطقه‌ای دانشگاه خوارزمی و کمیته دانشجویی انجمن ایرانی مطالعات سازمان ملل متحد در تاریخ ۱۰آذر۱۴۰۳ در دفتر مطالعات سیاسی و بین‌المللی وزارت امورخارجه برگزار شد. در این نشست، معاون و رئیس محترم دفتر مطالعات سیاسی و بین‌المللی وزارت امور خارجه، جناب آقای دکتر شیخ‌الاسلامی سخنرانی کردند و سپس پرسش و پاسخ با دانشجویان برگزار شد.

Telegram has gained a reputation as the “secure” communications app in the post-Soviet states, but whenever you make choices about your digital security, it’s important to start by asking yourself, “What exactly am I securing? And who am I securing it from?” These questions should inform your decisions about whether you are using the right tool or platform for your digital security needs. Telegram is certainly not the most secure messaging app on the market right now. Its security model requires users to place a great deal of trust in Telegram’s ability to protect user data. For some users, this may be good enough for now. For others, it may be wiser to move to a different platform for certain kinds of high-risk communications. On Telegram’s website, it says that Pavel Durov “supports Telegram financially and ideologically while Nikolai (Duvov)’s input is technological.” Currently, the Telegram team is based in Dubai, having moved around from Berlin, London and Singapore after departing Russia. Meanwhile, the company which owns Telegram is registered in the British Virgin Islands. NEWS Overall, extreme levels of fear in the market seems to have morphed into something more resembling concern. For example, the Cboe Volatility Index fell from its 2022 peak of 36, which it hit Monday, to around 30 on Friday, a sign of easing tensions. Meanwhile, while the price of WTI crude oil slipped from Sunday’s multiyear high $130 of barrel to $109 a pop. Markets have been expecting heavy restrictions on Russian oil, some of which the U.S. has already imposed, and that would reduce the global supply and bring about even more burdensome inflation. What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm.
