Loïe Fuller (1862-1928), an American dancer, was a pioneer of modern dance and the inventor of the Serpentine Dance. To achieve the abstract colorful illuminated aesthetic of the Serpentine Dance, she collaborated with her partner (in work and in life) Gab Sorère (1870-1961), one of the rare (if not the only) feminine French art promoters, filmmakers, stage designers, mechanical innovators and choreographers of the Belle Époque (1871-1914). The two women made multiple films together, few of which survived.
It's unsure how many recordings of the Serpentine Dance from the time are actually performances of Loïe Fuller, or of dancers who followed in her footsteps, some maybe borrowing her name. A lot of the films we can find today of the Serpentine Dance were produced by the Edison Studios and the Lumière brothers, often featuring the dancer Annabelle Whitford.

"The result is on this photo: fiery 'greetings' to the invaders," the Security Service of Ukraine wrote alongside a photo showing several military vehicles among plumes of black smoke. DFR Lab sent the image through Microsoft Azure's Face Verification program and found that it was "highly unlikely" that the person in the second photo was the same as the first woman. The fact-checker Logically AI also found the claim to be false. The woman, Olena Kurilo, was also captured in a video after the airstrike and shown to have the injuries. "There are a lot of things that Telegram could have been doing this whole time. And they know exactly what they are and they've chosen not to do them. That's why I don't trust them," she said. "For Telegram, accountability has always been a problem, which is why it was so popular even before the full-scale war with far-right extremists and terrorists from all over the world," she told AFP from her safe house outside the Ukrainian capital. But Telegram says people want to keep their chat history when they get a new phone, and they like having a data backup that will sync their chats across multiple devices. And that is why they let people choose whether they want their messages to be encrypted or not. When not turned on, though, chats are stored on Telegram's services, which are scattered throughout the world. But it has "disclosed 0 bytes of user data to third parties, including governments," Telegram states on its website.
