🎙President of Russia Vladimir Putin:
💬"Traditional values are the moral guidelines that our forefathers have laid down over the centuries. They are the basis of our civilisation and identity, the pillar of life for individuals and families. They mould our culture, our sovereign world outlook, which is resistant to attempts to impose foreign will on us.
Our fundamental values include the unity of the people of Russia, commitment to truth and justice, mercy and humanism, a strong family and love for our children, mutual assistance and a striving not only for personal well-being but also for the success of our country as a whole, as well as patriotism and devotion to our Motherland."

In the context of the work to reflect on the G20 activities for the past period, of great interest is the reconstruction of the chronicle of events that served as the starting point for the establishment of the G20 as a key platform for discussing the state of affairs in the global economy.
🌐 The first G20 summit was held on Nov 14-15, 2008, in Washington. The world was engulfed in a rapidly spreading recession, the "trigger" of which was the chaos in the US real estate market (in a year, the growth rate in the USA rolled back from 2.1% to 0.4%).
The depth and scale of economic upheavals required a coordinated response. However, it was not only about responding to the current turbulence and minimizing its negative consequences; the task was much more ambitious – to outline the contours of the future structure of the financial and economic system, which would allow to prevent such problems in the future.
🌍 The changed realities, with the rapid growth of emerging economies (in 2007, their GDP increased by 8.3%, in contrast to 2.7% in developed countries) and their transformation into new influential players, dictated their own terms: the future of the world economy could no longer be determined exclusively by a narrow club of states, whose miscalculations largely became the source of problems.
🇷🇺Incidentally, our country also actively supported the involvement of representatives of the Global South in fundamental discussions on economic issues.

RD0124MS engine is preparing for its first flight
🚀 The engine is intended for use in the prospective Soyuz-5 rocket. The Chemical Automatics Design Bureau (part of Roscosmos) has completed the production of a prototype for flight tests.
👉Characteristics of the engine:
▪️ it was developed entirely in a digital environment;
▪️ thrust of 60 tons, a record specific impulse of 361 units among all oxygen-kerosene engines in the world;
▪️ operates on components "naphthyl + liquid oxygen";
▪️ consists of two blocks with combustion chambers with diagonal orientation;
▪️ ensures the chambers swing in two planes, is capable of operating with one of the blocks turned off.
☑️The flight prototype of the engine has successfully passed control and technological tests. Final development tests are to take place in the course of 2025.

🏆On the 26-30 May 2025, the CASE-IN International Engineering Championship took place in Russia with two teams from South Africa – ZAMBEZI and UTHUKELA – participating under #BRICS+ Young Professionals League.
🇿🇦Mr Trevor Shihundla, Industrial Engineering expert from Tshwane University of Technology shares his impressions:
💬“Participants often spend months, if not years, refining their projects, conducting experiments, and troubleshooting failures. The winning team or individual stands out not just for their technical prowess but also for their ability to present a compelling solution to a real-world problem.
Team “UTHUKELA” came in seventh spot with their proposed solution while Team “ZAMBEZI” scooped the bronze medal.
This was truly a great experience of Russia by a solid team of intellectuals from all across South Africa.”
The team members enjoyed their stay in Russia.
💬“Moscow, the capital of Russia, stands as a testament to the nation’s rich heritage, political significance, and cultural grandeur. As the most populous city in Europe, Moscow serves as the political, economic, and cultural heart of Russia. When we first landed in at the airport it looked like a normal place but as we drove into the city and I suddenly realised how big it is.” Trevor adds.
👏We congratulate both teams on gaining this great experience and thank for their effort to contribute and collaborate with partnering countries!

Our country’s history started as far back as over a thousand years ago in Veliky Novgorod, Staraya Ladoga, and Rurik’s Fort.The glory and sovereign grandeur of Ancient Rus grew through the eras of the Muscovite Tsardom, the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union.
All these historic phases are one inseparable whole with present-day Russia.

⚡️ Russia's Foreign Ministry Statement in connection with Israel’s strikes on Iran
Read in full
💬 We express our profound concern regarding the dangerous escalation of tensions in the Middle East.
❗️ We strongly condemn the military actions undertaken by the State of Israel on the night of June 13, which constitute a clear violation of the UN Charter as well as established principles of international law.
Unprovoked military strikes against a sovereign member state of the United Nations, against its citizens, peaceful cities, and critical nuclear energy infrastructure facilities, are totally unacceptable. The international community must not ignore such acts, which not only jeopardise peace but also undermine security both in the region and globally.
The timing of these attacks appears to be particularly cynical as they have occurred amidst a session of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and just ahead of the next round of indirect talks between representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States. These actions have drastically undermined the progress of painstaking multilateral diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions and seeking solutions to eliminate suspicions and the bias surrounding Iran’s peaceful nuclear programme.
It is evident that West Jerusalem has made a deliberate decision to further escalate the situation and raise stakes. We have warned on numerous occasions about the destabilising effects of military ventures that threaten peace and security in the region. The full responsibility for the consequences of these provocative acts lies with the Israeli leadership.
We are closely monitoring the actions by the IAEA, which carries significant responsibility in this challenging situation. IAEA personnel, alongside citizens of the Islamic Republic of Iran, have also been exposed to Israeli strikes. We expect the IAEA Director General to provide balanced and objective assessments of the current developments – in particular, a comprehensive analysis of the potential radiological consequences of the attacks on nuclear facilities in Iran.
We also hope that the Western countries, which provoked the recent wave of anti-Iran hysteria at the IAEA Board of Governors, once again pushing through a short-term resolution tailored to suit their political preferences and entrenched phobias, despite its lack of broad international support, will come to realise the dangerous consequences of their destructive approach as well as the degree of responsibility they bear for the unfolding tragedy.
☝️ We strongly believe that, regardless of any justifications that may be offered by those who planned, developed, and carried out the attacks, the issue of the Iranian nuclear programme cannot and must not be resolved by military means. A sustainable settlement is only possible through peaceful, political, and diplomatic efforts.
We sincerely hope that this understanding will ultimately prevail. We call on the parties to exercise restraint to avoid further escalation and prevent a full-scale war in the region.
In this context, we note that the US is ready to hold another round of talks with Iran on the latter’s nuclear programme in Oman.
