Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. Although some channels have been removed, the curation process is considered opaque and insufficient by analysts. He floated the idea of restricting the use of Telegram in Ukraine and Russia, a suggestion that was met with fierce opposition from users. Shortly after, Durov backed off the idea. In view of this, the regulator has cautioned investors not to rely on such investment tips / advice received through social media platforms. It has also said investors should exercise utmost caution while taking investment decisions while dealing in the securities market.
