В 2020 году 77% жителей балтийской страны в возрасте 15-64 лет пили алкоголь хотя бы один раз за последний год. Среди них оказалось 80% мужчин и 75% женщин.
Согласно исследованию ВОЗ, в 2022 году на жителя Латвии пришлось 12,9 литра чистого спирта. Это самый высокий показатель в странах Балтии. На втором месте оказались литовцы с 11,9 литра. Меньше всего выпивают эстонцы – 10,4 литра в год.
