В сюжете ГТРК «Чита» сообщается, что на здании школы установили памятные доски трем героям, удостоенным орденов Мужества. Все они являются выпускниками этого учебного заведения. Это Александр Кураксин, Сергей Царьков и Сергей Бронников.
Помимо этого, в школе появились и три «Парты героя».
