Изначально украинская разведка просила его заложить взрывчатку под машиной блогера или же рядом с воротами его дома. Когда он заболел — ему пришлось оставить взрывчатку у себя в мастерской и ждать дальнейших указаний.
Некоторое время спустя из ГУР снова написали и предложили найти в Москве автомобиль высокопоставленного офицера МО и взорвать его. Но весь замысел сорвали сотрудники ФСБ.
