Умилился, что оказывается книга Ильфа и Петрова "Одноэтажная Америка" (1937) об их туре по США 1935-1936 годов вышла по английски как "Little Golden America".

Решил чуть-чуть покопаться откуда такое странное название, и пришел к выводу, что похоже дело в названии перевода их другого хита — романа "Золотой Телёнок" — The Little Golden Calf.

P.S. А еще я не знал, что в 1947 году, в связи с началом кампании по борьбе с низкопоклонством перед Западом и антиамериканским вектором советской внешней политики, книгу изъяли из общественного доступа и поместили в спецхран.
