به‌نام خداوند جان و خرد إنّا لله و إنّا إلیه راجعون خبر درگذشت جناب آقای دکتر عباداله محمودیان، رئیس پیشین انجمن ریاضی ایران، عضو هیئت علمی گروه ریاضی دانشگاه صنعتی شریف و چهره ماندگار رشته ریاضیات کشور که عمر پربار خود را وقف گسترش علم و خدمت به جامعه و ترویج رشته ریاضی در کشور نمود، موجب تأسف و دریغ جامعه علمی کشور گردید. اینجانب به نیابت از انجمن آمار ایران و جامعه آماری ایران، مصیبت وارده و جبران‌ناپذیر که دانشگاه و نهاد‌های علمی را از وجود این شخصیت بزرگ و سرآمد آموزشی محروم ساخت، به خانواده محترم ایشان و تمامی همکاران، اساتید، دانشجویان و جامعه دانشگاهی کشور تسلیت عرض نموده و از درگاه ایزد منّان برای ایشان رحمت واسعه و علو درجات و برای بازماندگان صبر و شکیبایی مسئلت دارم.
