وَ قَالَ عليه‌السلام: لَأَنْسُبَنَّ اَلْإِسْلاَمَ نِسْبَةً لَمْ يَنْسُبْهَا أَحَدٌ قَبْلِي اَلْإِسْلاَمُ هُوَ اَلتَّسْلِيمُ وَ اَلتَّسْلِيمُ هُوَ اَلْيَقِينُ وَ اَلْيَقِينُ هُوَ اَلتَّصْدِيقُ وَ اَلتَّصْدِيقُ هُوَ اَلْإِقْرَارُ وَ اَلْإِقْرَارُ هُوَ اَلْأَدَاءُ وَ اَلْأَدَاءُ هُوَ اَلْعَمَلُ. و درود خدا بر او، فرمود: اسلام را چنان مى‌شناسانم كه پيش از من كسى آنگونه معرّفى نكرده باشد. اسلام همان تسليم در برابر خدا و تسليم همان يقين داشتن، و يقين اعتقاد راستين، و باور راستين همان اقرار درست، و اقرار درست انجام مسئوليّت‌ها، و انجام مسئوليّت‌ها همان عمل كردن به احكام دين است.
