По информации властей, запуск проекта создаст более 330 рабочих мест, а общий объем инвестиций превысит четыре миллиарда рублей. Комплекс будет принимать отходы со всей Северо-Кузбасской агломерации.
Главный плюс — запуск мусоросортировки позволит значительно сократить количество твёрдых коммунальных отходов, отправляемых на свалки, и использовать до 25% вторичного сырья. Всё оборудование — отечественное, включая автоматические сортировщики для разделения вторсырья на фракции.
