خانم چینی Wang Mengyun که یک سلبریتی است، اخیراً به‌خاطر انتشار آن ویدئو در سه سال قبل عذرخواهی کرده است. منبع جملات او در عذرخواهی نشان می‌دهد که خود او هم باور کرده است که انتقال کوروناویروس جدید به انسان به‌خاطر «خوردن» یک حیوان بوده است! (بسیاری از شایعات چنان گسترده و عمیق می‌شوند که زدودنشان از اذهان اگر شدنی باشد فوق‌العاده دشوار است.)
