The Incomprehension [of Those Who Preach Dzogchen]

Regarding the failure to grasp this principle, certain people—by their worldview and conduct said to dwell in this final 500-year age—some of whom are even offered the Dharma, proclaim:

“Even so, this view is only about the Base, so it’s of no benefit. By contrast, the upadeśa on focusing provides methods for gaining experience that are indisputable.”

Such words are like trying to crack open a vault with a bone key. In truth, expecting the realization of spontaneous presence by means of mental-focus instruction is a deviation. Thus, if this is not understood, there can be no liberation: that is the fruit of contrived effort.

any practice that strives to fix the cause is not the great method.
If one has not freed oneself from the cause-grasping approach,

Hence, it is clear that this is an extreme deviation.

I explored Hyperboreans and Atlanteans in some old posts that desperately need redeeming. However I'll summarize by saying I believe the Hyperboreans were ancient Siberians and that the Atlanteans were an empire that settled on both sides of the Atlantic. The fall of Hyperborea occured some time between 40,000 or perhaps as late as 20,000BC; exactly when and where is difficult to place, however we know by 15,000BC that "Hyperboreans" had begun migrating into modern Eastern Europe as well as the Caucasus Mountains and what is now modern Iran. This puts us at about the time of the fall of Atlantis, 12,000-10,000BC. Atlanteans either 1) returned home to Europe and the Mediterranean or 2) fled to their colonies there, but since continental and Northern Europe were in the thick of the same Younger Dryas catastrophe, the Mediterranean would have been ideal. Atlantean refugees finding themselves in Anatolia and the Levant would be most likely to encounter an intact and competent civilization since Europe was a disaster and North Africa was inhabitated by a darker race.

These Atlantean refugees in modern Turkey rebuild what they can of their society, interacting with their neighboring cultures who are strengthened by the old Hyperborean stock. What is left of the old royal lineages mingles and the meeting of the two ancient cultures spawns spin-offs in every direction that go on to accomplish great feats. The Anatolian Farmers went west to form the great megalithic culture and the Minoans, the Neolithic Iranians went east to create the Indus Valley Civilization, the Caucasus Hunter Gatherers went north to create the Aryans, and all three of those populations went south and mixed to give birth to the Mesopotamians.

From the nexus of the Caucasus circa 10,000-8,000BC, we see a great proliferation of the material and moral technologies required to build great empires and lasting civilizations. It's my tentative theory that this is no accident and that the remnants of the élites from the previous ages' Centers were able to meet and allow this to occur.

Today is the Day of Saturn of Giordano Bruno, the anniversary of his execution.

Rosicrucian History.

If different fields of Knowledge are like "Organs" then History is "The Spine" that our Knowledge "Hangs" off of.

Learning History isn't just about finding roots or appreciating those who came before. It's about creating a "Psychic Structure" within us so we can easily recall what we need, when we need it.

If you want to learn a subject the best way to start is by studying its History. Then you know people of interest and who they taught, institutions which have existed may still exist that can aid, and you all-round orient yourself to learn in an excellerated way (and have what you've learnt stick).

Now, Question: How do you find this Rosicrucian Family Tree?

Too chaotic? Some Links are tenuous. There are no dates (I couldn't squeeze them in), It merely shows a rough chronological "flow" and relationship.

It's also woefully incomplete. No Max Heindel, no Amorc, no Martinism, Italian and Eastern European groups are omitted.

Alas, this is only supposed to be a starting point. Something that shows someone the links from the Manifestos to the two most famous organizations. The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, and The Ordo Templi Orientis (OTO), Plus key individuals of significance. Much is lacking.
