Сегодня в Банги у памятника Защитникам ЦАР прошла памятная церемония, посвящённая дню рождения Евгения Викторовича Пригожина, которого до сих пор помнят, уважают и любят в ЦАР. 1 июня 2024 года Евгению Викторовичу исполнилось бы 63 года. В Банги у памятника Защитникам ЦАР собрались сотни центральноафриканцев (как военных, так и гражданских), чтобы отдать дань памяти великому другу Африки.

В церемонии памяти приняли участие российские инструкторы, руководитель Русского дома в Банги Дмитрий Сытый, генералы Генерального штаба FACA, а также представители полиции и жандармов. Военный оркестр FACA сопровождал церемонию памяти Е. В. Пригожина. После минуты молчания, в небе несколько раз пролетели истребители ВС ЦАР, а военный вертолёт показал мастерство пилотирования, эффектно пролетев вдоль шоссе.

"And that set off kind of a battle royale for control of the platform that Durov eventually lost," said Nathalie Maréchal of the Washington advocacy group Ranking Digital Rights. In the United States, Telegram's lower public profile has helped it mostly avoid high level scrutiny from Congress, but it has not gone unnoticed.
