Возглавлявший долгое время 2-й корпус азербайджанской армии генерал-лейтенант Маис Бархударов освобожден от должности и взят под особое распоряжение.

Звание генерал-майора Гулиев получил летом 2024 года. В звании полковника и командира одной из частей 2-го корпуса принимал участие в войне 2020 года на направлении Джебраил-Гадрут-Шуши, получил осколочное ранение в ногу и потом один из высших орденов республики.
